DEJIMA BASE (Dejima Omotenbashi Bridge Project)·March 2025 ~

English Version (Plain Text) What is "Hashifuki"? "Hashifuki" is a citizen-led cleanup and community event organized by "DEJIMA BASE"—a group originally formed by volunteers and designers involved in the Dejima Omotenbashi Bridge construction project. Rather than a formal, rigid volunteer cleanup, it embraces a positive and enjoyable approach to maintaining public infrastructure. Participants gently wipe and polish the bridge's signature curved wooden and steel structures using rags, creating a relaxed space to connect with others and build local pride. There are no quotas or strict requirements—everyone joins at their own pace in a very welcoming, casual atmosphere. Event Details ■ Schedule: Typically held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month starting around 18:00 (or 18:30). ■ Location: Dejima Omotenbashi Bridge and the surrounding area (near the Dejima Omotenbashi Park). ■ Cost & Registration: Free and no prior registration is required. You can simply show up, and dropping in or leaving early is completely fine. ■ Organizer: DEJIMA BASE (Dejima Omotenbashi Bridge Project)
